Before you set off on an exciting adventure, it is important to familiarize yourself with the basic rules of behavior and communication that will help create a comfortable atmosphere for all participants in the game.

1. Basic terms

●      Game – computer game Broken Sun, available at the Internet address https://brokensun.com.

●      User (player) – any individual over 18 years of age participating in the game Broken Sun.

●      Account in the game – an account created by the user to access the game. If you have an account in the game, it can also be used to log in to official portal and forum Broken Sun.

●      Administration – a group of authorized representatives of Redneck Studio LLC, which manages the game Broken Sun and is responsible for compliance with the rules.

●      Moderator – persons appointed by the Administration who help it monitor compliance with the Game Rules.

●      Closed beta testing (hereinafter – CBT) – a game testing stage, available to a limited number of players, carried out to evaluate and subsequently improve gameplay.

●      Content – all materials posted in the game or on the official portal Broken Sun, including text, images, sound and video.

2. General provisions

These Game Rules (hereinafter – Rules) are mandatory for all Users of the game Broken Sun. In addition to these Rules, players must also comply with Terms of Use, as well as other rules, policies and agreements related to the game.

The Rules govern all aspects of gameplay in the game Broken Sun, including, but not limited to, interaction in game chat, participation in events and activities, and communication with other players and the Administration.

The terms used in these Rules are equally correlated with the corresponding terms of the Terms of Use. Monitoring compliance with the Rules is carried out by the Administration, as well as the Moderators. Please note that these Rules and the restrictions described herein are not exhaustive and do not cover all possible options for inappropriate or unacceptable behavior.

2.1. Purpose of the game

The game is designed to provide players with a unique gaming experience that combines elements of role-playing, strategy and interaction in a multiplayer environment. Players are given the opportunity to participate in battles, explore the game world, complete tasks and take part in many other aspects of the gameplay.

2.2. Basic principles of behavior

All players are required to comply with the established Rules to ensure a comfortable and safe gaming experience. Each participant in the game must show respect for other users and the Administration, maintain a friendly atmosphere and avoid conflict situations.

2.3. Responsibility for violation of the Rules

Violation of the Rules is subject to various measures of influence, including the following types of punishment:

●      Warning from the Moderator or Administration;

●      Account blocking for a period from 1 hour to 14 days;

●      Permanent account blocking.

Maintaining order and monitoring compliance with the Rules in the game is carried out by the Moderators, and in some situations – by the Administration.

Any of the above punishments can be modified and applied by the Administration on an individual basis.

2.4. Evaluating messages and actions

The final assessment of messages and actions of players is carried out by Moderators and the Administration, who decide on the presence or absence of violations and the application of the type of punishment based on these Rules, internal assessment and personal experience. 2.5. Appealing decisions

If you disagree with the decision of the Moderator or Administration, the player can also appeal it by contacting Support: support@brokensun.com. All complaints must contain clear and reasoned explanations. They will be reviewed by the Administration on a first-come basis.

2.6. Protecting Players' Rights

The Broken Sun game’s Administration adheres to the principles of transparency and fairness. All players have the right to a fair consideration of their complaints and applications, as well as to protection of their rights within the game.

3. Prohibited actions

The following actions are prohibited in the Game, general game channels and other channels:

3.1.     Violations of communication rules:

3.1.1.    It is strictly forbidden to send messages and use materials in the in-game chat and other channels that contain violence, threats, pornography or other sexual overtones, extremism, slander, insults and obscene language and other unacceptable materials, including knowingly false, offensive, racially discriminatory, religious or other characteristics or obscene information, as well as any other materials that violate the rights and interests of third parties and / or legislation of the Russian Federation.

3.1.2.    It is strictly forbidden to use inappropriate content containing insults and humiliation of human dignity, sexual connotations, obscene language in user names, character names and descriptions; it is also not allowed to use the names of current and former politicians, historical and public figures, including in a veiled form.

3.1.3.    It is prohibited to use links to third-party resources in user names, character names or other attributes, as well as names similar to the nicknames of the Game Administration and words that may incite hatred, violence, extremism and discrimination.

If names violate the Rules, they will be changed by the Administration to technical nicknames.

3.1.4.    It is prohibited to post provocative messages with the aim of causing a negative reaction from other users (trolling).

3.1.5.    It is prohibited to create and/or participate in groups that promote hatred based on nationality, religion, gender or other grounds.

3.1.6.    It is prohibited to threaten, insult or violate the personal space of other players and Administration representatives in any form.

3.1.7.    It is prohibited to submit false complaints or reports against other players, as well as to mislead the Administration.

3.1.8.    Promotion of the use of alcohol, tobacco or any narcotic or illegal substances, or the use of firearms is prohibited.

3.1.9.    Other types of behavior that violate the laws of the Russian Federation are prohibited.

3.2.     Use of personal information:

3.2.1.    It is prohibited to collect or use personal data of players (email addresses, residential addresses, etc.) for sending advertising, spam or other illegal activities.

3.2.2.    It is prohibited to transmit personal information about players through in-game or third-party communication tools.

3.3.     Interfering with the normal functioning of the chat:

3.3.1.    It is prohibited to disrupt the functioning of game chats with messages that do not carry any semantic meaning, repeated messages or messages that are not related to the topic of discussion (flooding).

3.3.2.    It is prohibited in game chats to provoke and participate in aggressive disputes that lead to conflicts and insults, and violate respectful communication (flaming).

3.3.3.    Excessive use of capital letters, sending spam or repeated messages that impede communication in game chats is prohibited.

3.3.4.    Advertising and promotion of any goods or services through the gaming platform or game portal without the permission of the Administration is prohibited.

3.3.5.    It is prohibited to post links to sites that contain inappropriate content, as well as links to third-party products or malicious software.

3.4.     Hacking attempts and methods of unfair play

3.4.1.    Any attempts to hack, decrypt or intercept data related to the game or its services are prohibited.

3.4.2.    It is prohibited to use other people's credentials, as well as Attempts to gain access to other people's accounts or transfer of your credentials to third parties.

3.4.3.    Data falsification. It is prohibited to hide or falsify personal data required to register an account.

3.4.4.    Modification of the game client. The game client, server software and game site are not subject to modification, and any interference with their operation is strictly prohibited.

4. Gameplay

4.1.     The following are prohibited in the gameplay:

4.1.1.    Creating and / or participating in fights by collusion. Collusion is considered an unspoken agreement reached in circumvention of the Rules for the purpose of obtaining benefits.

4.1.2.    Creation, use and advertising of programs that simulate the actions of players in the game (bots), clicker programs, emulators, keyboard and mouse control macros, and / or other similar methods of accumulating in-game achievements, as well as other forms of behavior that the Administration considers dishonest.

4.1.3.    Any actions that interfere with the normal course of the gameplay: using errors, bugs or deliberately interrupting the game to gain an advantage.

4.1.4.    Public distribution or use of game errors that provide an advantage if they were not declared by the developers.

4.1.5.    Creation and use of several accounts by one user to bypass account blocking or mislead other users.

4.2.     The game and its resources are intended solely for the personal use of players. Any commercial use is prohibited:

4.2.1.    Selling, transferring or advertising accounts, game items or other resources for real money is prohibited.

4.2.2.    Trading in-game currency on third-party services is prohibited.

4.3.     Although the game is role-playing in nature, the use of role-playing cannot serve as an excuse for breaking the Rules.

5. Regulations on the Administration

5.1.     Players are required to follow the directions and instructions provided by the Game Administration.

5.2.     The administration reserves the right to finally determine what constitutes a violation of the Rules.

5.3.     Players are prohibited from:

5.3.1.    Impersonate a support service employee or a representative of the Game Administration.

6. Closed Beta Testing Privacy Statements

6.1.     Participation in the closed beta testing of the Broken Sun game implies compliance with the terms of confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement, which come into force upon the player's pre-registration.

6.2.     Any violation of the Privacy Policy or dissemination of inside information may damage the game. In this regard, the Administration reserves the right to unilaterally terminate access to testing in accordance with the Game Rules.

6.3.     The player has no right:

6.3.1.    Discuss Game details or its mechanics outside of designated communication channels.

6.3.2.    Share screenshots, videos or any other information about the Game on open social networks, forums or other public platforms (i.e. outside of designated communication channels).

6.3.3.    Publish any information about the closed beta testing process without explicit permission from the Administration.

6.4.     Forbidden:

6.4.1.    Violate the Terms of Use.

6.4.2.    Violate the Game Rules.

6.4.3.    Violate the Forum Rules.

6.4.4.    Publish materials and information about the Game to the public, as well as communicate this information to any third parties outside the channels designated by the Administration (forum sections, closed groups of CBT participants on social networks, etc.).

6.5.     Violation of these CBT privacy provisions may result in immediate exclusion from testing and blocking of your account.

6.6.     The Administration reserves the right to independently interpret these and other violations and apply punishment at its own discretion.

7. Legal Compliance

7.1.     Users undertake not to commit actions that violate the legislation of the Russian Federation, international legal acts and regulations, as well as the Rules established by the Game Administration.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in measures being taken against the player, including blocking the account.

Players bear full responsibility for actions taken during the gameplay, in accordance with current legislation and the Game Rules.

The Administration reserves the right to apply any measures to players without possible appeals and explanations.

7.2.     Illegal activities:

7.2.1.    Using the Game and its resources to violate the laws of the Russian Federation will be considered a violation of the Game Rules.

7.2.2.    Any harm caused to the player or his in-game resources, as well as to the Administration, will be regarded as a violation of the Rules and will entail punishment.

7.2.3.    If the Player violates the current legislation of the Russian Federation, all responsibility for such actions falls entirely on him.

7.3.     Fraudulent activities

7.3.1.    Fraud means stealing someone else's property or acquiring rights to someone else's property, including in-game currency and resources, through deception or abuse of trust.

7.3.2.    Any manipulations related to game content may be considered fraud and result in liability.

7.3.3.    In case of detection of illegal actions, the Administration reserves the right to notify law enforcement agencies.

8. Security of account data

8.1.     The Player must independently keep his login and password secret.

8.2.     It is prohibited to transfer account data to third parties for any reason.

8.3.     The Player is obliged to contact the Administration as soon as he becomes aware that someone has used his account without his consent.

9. Final provisions

9.1.     The Game Administration reserves the right to change these Rules at any time without prior notice. Changes come into force from the moment of their publication.

9.2.     Users agree to independently monitor changes in the Game Rules, Terms of Use and other rules, policies and agreements related to the game.

9.3.     The User is personally responsible for all information posted by him, its accuracy and compliance with the Game Rules and Terms of Use.

9.4.     The Administration does not guarantee the constant availability of the game.
